An old Finnish proverb states: “Happiness is a place between too little and too much.”
Your house is a mess because it’s cluttered with…stuff.
How many years and months have you been looking at that clutter every day?
Dedicate a couple of minutes to get organized and regain that space.
A couple of minutes once in a while is not a lot of time, is it?
Then make a trip to the local charity, the dump, or the recycling depot. Don’t store the decluttered items. That means getting rid of stuff, not moving it to somewhere else.
We’re not talking minimalist; we’re talking about decluttering a room, or your house, and making it neat and organized. Surely 5 Minutes won’t kill you. It all depends on the clutter level. Maybe you can do a house or just a particular area. For example a 5 Minutes Bathroom Declutter Challenge, or a 5 Minutes Bedroom Declutter Challenge, a 5 Minutes Basement Declutter Challenge, or a 5 Minutes Garage Declutter Challenge.
You’ll become aware of all the things you own but don’t need. You will enjoy your new uncluttered house. Congratulate yourself on a job well done. Perhaps you will want to do some serious decluttering more often.
