The winner and the finalists of the SDL365 Achiever Scholarship for the Summer 2019 session were announced.
Lewes, Delaware, United States – July 18, 2019 — SDL365 Financial Choice LLC has chosen Tessa Borrego as the winner of its summer 2019 Achiever Scholarship. A recent graduate from Western Washington University, Borrego holds a degree in English literature. She’s now enrolled in a Master’s-in-Teaching graduate program, and this $500 scholarship will help her address the cost of her university experience.
Borrego’s essay, “What’s Better: Debt-Free Living or Getting a Degree,” addresses the difficult financial decisions that modern-day students have to make when charting their path forward. From taking out loans to delaying vacations, Borrego shares her experiences and money-management tips with her peers.
Borrego’s writing wasn’t the only essay that stood out to judges. Finalists KeyShawn Phillips and Hannah Dixon will receive $100 for their submissions. Dixon, a sociology student at Brigham Young University, wrote an essay titled “5 Daily Habits That Help Me Improve My Life.”
Phillips is a mathematics student at Georgia State University. He wrote on the topic “What’s Better: Debt-Free Living or Getting a Degree?“.
Visit the SDL365 site to read the winning essays. Because this is a reoccurring scholarship contest, other students will also have a chance to earn a $500 prize.
