Winter 2019 SDL Achiever Winner Announcement selects a student as scholarship winner for an original essay on overcoming the stress linked to student debt.

For Immediate Release — Gilbert, AZ, January, 29, 2019 — is proudly announcing their Winter SDL Achiever Scholarship Winner.

Samatha Scheidler has been selected as a winner in the Winter SDL Achievers scholarship and is awarded $500 Scholarship. Samantha is a Day Camp Counselor/Environmental Educator at Howell Nature Center, and a student at Michigan State University. Her submitted work on How to Overcome the Stress of Being a Student in Debt impressed our judges.

Given the high number of extraordinary applications that were received in the frames of the Winter Scholarship Session, the company decided to grant additional second prizes of $100 and $50 to Richard Chen (read his essay here), and Sydney Harmon (read her essay here).

The quarterly SDL Achievers Scholarship Contest was launched in 2017 as an intention to encourage students to practice responsible borrowing habits and support those who demonstrate good understanding of the subject. will continue to grant scholarships to other students throughout the year, in hopes of easing the financial burden of pursuing higher education opportunities. A panel of the company’s executives will review original content, and the next deadline for this year is March 28th.
